Halloween Cocktails

Pina Ghoulada:
Ingredients
For The "Blood"
3 tablespoons corn syrup
1/4 teaspoons red food coloring
For The Drink
20 ounces pineapple juice
1 can (15 ounces) cream of coconut
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 cup orange juice
10 ounces good-quality rum
Directions
1. Pour the corn syrup in a shallow bowl. Dip a toothpick into the food coloring, and stir a very small amount into the syrup to combine. Hold a glass by the stem, dip rim into the syrup mixture, and turn glass, coating entire rim. Turn the glass upright, allowing mixture to drip down sides. Dip the remaining glasses. Set aside.
2. Whisk together drink ingredients. Place 2 1/2 cups ice in a blender, and add 1 cup drink mixture. Blend until smooth; add more pineapple juice if mixture is too thick. Repeat with remaining ice and mixture. Carefully pour into prepared glasses; serve.

Creepy Cocktail:
Ingredients
Black sanding sugar
1 lime wedge
Ice
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 ounce light rum
3 tablespoons simple syrup
1/4 cup 100 percent pomegranate juice
1 ounce dark rum
Directions
1. Spread black sanding sugar on a saucer. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a glass, then dip in sugar to coat. Add ice to glass.
2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, and add lime juice, light rum, simple syrup, and pomegranate juice. Shake 30 seconds. Strain into glass, leaving space at top. Gently pour in dark rum so it floats on top. Garnish with licorice spider tied to a stirrer.

Black Lagoon Cocktail:
Ingredients
4 ounces vodka
2 ounces Rosemary-Lemon Syrup
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
Directions
1. Combine vodka, syrup, and juice in a cocktail shaker, stir to combine. Add seltzer, and divide between two glasses filled with licorice ice cubes. Serve immediately.
Cook's Note
This drink is clear when first poured, but starts to darken as the black ice cubes melt. To make serving multiple cocktails easier, multiply and mix the vodka, syrup, and lemon juice in a pitcher. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve up to 3 hours. Pour mixture into glasses over licorice ice cubes, then top with seltzer.

Sinister Cider Cocktail:
Ingredients
Fine black sanding sugar
1 lady apple, chopped
1/2 lime, cut into wedges
1 ounce maple syrup
1 ounce apple cider
2 ounces vodka
Ice
Club soda
1 thin crosswise slice lady apple, for garnish
Directions
1. Moisten the rim of a martini glass with water. Place sanding sugar in a saucer and dip rim of glass in sanding sugar to coat; set aside.
2. In a cocktail shaker, muddle together apple cubes and lime wedges. Add syrup, cider, and vodka; fill with ice. Cover and shake until well combined. Strain into prepared martini glass; top with club soda. Garnish with apple slice and serve.

Movie Pick For Tonight!

Sleepy Hollow High (2000) :
Five delinquent classmates must perform community service at Sleepy Hollow Park Grounds, a place notorious for vandalism and for many unsolved disappearances. As the afternoon unfolds, the students begin to realize that someone is taking the Legend of Sleepy Hollow too far, and that everyone is a suspect from the teachers and counselors of Sleepy Hollow High to their classmates and each other. It is even possible that the legend itself is true. In the end none of it matters because it was all a dream.
