Flick (2008) : I loved this movie. I grab it on a whim from the library and now I consider this to be one of my many favorite go to movies. I honestly only grabbed it because it had the elements of the 1950s and I love love love that time frame. I will say by looking at it I wasn't expecting too much from it or to like it as much as I do. Not only does it have the 1950s element but it's a zombie movie. Big points there. I love Rockabilly and the soundtrack is AMAZING! This movie has a comic like style, even comic panels showing scenes in between the real scenes and the characters are very over the top. It is really hard to say what movie genre this film falls under but I'd say probably horror comedy. Written and directed by David Howard, starting Faye Dunaway, Mark Benton, and Hugh O' Conor to just name a few. Memphis cop Lieutenant McKenzie is called in to investigate a series of strange deaths and weird sightings following the resurrection of a murder victim from the 1950s. A local boy who died forty years before after killing a bunch at a dance hall and driving off a bridge. He is brought back to life in modern times and tries to find his teenage sweetheart who is now aged 62 and also to seek revenge for his death. I give this movie a 10.
Many more review to come!
