Sometimes Saturday's annoy me...

The Addams Family (1991) : This film is an American black comedy film based on the characters from the cartoon of the same name created by cartoonist Charles Addams. The film was written by Caroline Thompson and Larry Wilson and directed by Barry Sonnenfeld. The movie was originally developed at Orion Pictures which at the time owned the rights to the television series on which the film was based on. But due to the studio's financial problems ultimately leading to the studio's demise and was purchase by MGM, Paramount stepped in to complete the film and handled North American distribution. It stars Raúl Juliá, Anjelica Huston, Christopher Lloyd, Christina Ricci, Jimmy Workman, Carel Struycken, Judith Malina, Christopher Hart's Hand, John Franklin, Dan Hedaya and so on. The film had a budget of $38 Million, it grossed close to $114 million in the US box office and close to $192 Million world wide. It was the seventh highest grossing film of 1991. In the television series, Fester was Morticia's uncle (and hence not technically an Addams), but in the films he is Gomez's brother and is referred to as Fester Addams. In 1993 a sequel called Addams Family Values was made.
The Addams Family film is about Uncle Fester who has been missing for 25 years, he disappeared after a falling out with his brother. Gomez's lawyer Tully owes money to loan shark and knows that the family has lots of money so he introduces a fake Fester into the family and attempt to get the Addams money. Wednesday has doubts as to the sincerity of the new Uncle Fester but the fake Fester adapts very well with the strange family and really starts to feel at home with them. But the Tully and the loan shark try their very best to take over the Addams fortune!
