Review!

Tron Legacy (2010) : Some good friends, Brownlog and I made a trip to the Imax to see Tron Legacy last night and I loved it. I heard mixed reviews but most of the people who I trust their opinion on movies said it wasn't very good. But I have to disagree with them. It's a sequel and everyone knows sequels aren't usually so great but this one is a good one. I though it was really well done with a good story line. Yes it is all around action but still has stable story line.  The visuals are amazing. I'm a little old school when is comes to movies for the most part I love chessey not so good special effect and being a fan of the original I though I would hate how clean it looks but it fits the time period perfect. I love the dark feel with the few bright colors. I'm so pleased with the casting, Jeff Bridges being amazing as usual as Kevin Flynn and the villain Clu and Garrett Hedlund did a great job as Sam Flynn. Also you have Bruce Boxleitner who returns as Alan Bradley, Olivia Wilde as Quorra, Michael Sheen as Casto, Cillian Murphy as Edward Dillinger Jr, Beau Garrett as Gem, and so on. This film was directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Steven Lisberger who made the original movie. 
 It is about Sam Flynn, a rebellious 27-year-old. He is haunted by the mysterious disappearance of his father Kevin Flynn 20 years earlier, a man once known as the world's leading video-game developer. When Sam investigates a strange page sent from the old Flynn's Arcade, a page that could only come from his father, he finds a hiden office and then himself pulled into a digital world where Kevin has been trapped for 20 years. With the help of the fearless warrior Quorra, father and son embark on a life-or-death journey across a cyber universe, a universe created by Kevin himself that has become far more advanced with vehicles, weapons, landscapes and a ruthless villain who will stop at nothing to prevent their escape. 
 Another great thing about this movie is the music which is done by Daft Punk who also made a cameo in the club scene. This is one of the things that I was most looking forward too when I heard they were making the sequel. All and all I think that this is a great movie and I give it a 9. 

On a side note the Tron Evolution game for Xbox 360 is pretty good as well. I didn't play it because it's not the type of game I like but I did watch Brownlog and the game kinda fills in some of the gap between the movies and gives you a little more background. So If you are a video game fan I'd say check out the game as well.
