Detroit 1-8-7

I have been meaning to do a review on
Detroit 1-8-7 but I keep putting it off. I have a thing for cop dramas for some reason, so I get excited when a new one comes out. Well Brownlog and I waited for a few to get saved up on our DVR, we sat down and watched them. The first episode I didn't like it at all, the second one was ok but still didn't like it, after the third I was liking it and after a couple more I really started to like it. I didn't mind the casting (Michael Imperioli, Natalie Martinez, Jon Michael Hill, James McDaniel, Aisha Hinds, D.J. Cotrona, Shaun Majumder, and Erin Cummings) at first but it wasn't my favorite but by the third episode I feel in love with some of the characters and think that the casting was right on. All of the storylines/ plots have been pretty good for the most part. I like that they actually film in Detroit (home pride), I think it's nice to try and givc Detroit something positive. It was planned to be a mockumentary but ABC decided to abandon the format after the city of Detroit banned camera crews from following real officers after a controversial police shooting during filming of another show. All and all I actually enjoy this show and hope it doesn't get canceled. It's on Tuesdays at 10 pm ET/PT on ABC.
