Saturday Graverites!

Today's Graverite has been mentioned on my blog many of times but hey it is one of my most favorite movies and it also happens to be on Fearnet right now so if you don't have it on DVD/VHS you can still watch it. Brainscan (1994; 96 brain eaters) : This is probley one of my most go to movies, I can seriously sit and watch this one over and over and not get sick of it one bit. This movie was directed by John Flynn and stars Edward Furlong, Frank Langella, Jamie Marsh, Amy Hargreaves and T. Ryder Smith. The main title  music was composed by George S. Clinton but this movie also has a killer soundtrack featuring White Zombie, Primus, Mudhoney, Butthole Surfers and more. It is about this lonely teenager named Michael Brower (Edward Furlong) who's father is always away on business and he has no mother because she died, so he has lots of time on his hands. He is a big horror-movie fan and runs the horror club at school, one day his best friend Kyle Hilliard (Jamie Marsh) tells him about a mysterious computer game that uses hypnosis to custom-tailor the game into the most terrifying experience imaginable. When he emerges from the hypnotic trance, he is excited about the game but than horrified to find evidence that the brutal murder depicted in the game actually happened, and he's the killer. Add in the appearance of the mysterious Trickster (T. Ryder Smith), and the murderous madness jumps to the next level. Hounded by his best friend Kyle who wants to play the game and Police Detective Hayden (Frank Langella) who thinks somethings up with him, and hiding the truth from his crush the girl next door Kimberly (Amy Hargreaves), Michael's world comes crashing down in a hectic cacophony. Grab the popcorn and enjoy this great movie!
