Fangoria Frightfest!
Fragile : Grimm Love is still my favorite so far but this one comes pretty close. It has a really cool look/feel to it, it takes place in an old hospital that is closing and it has this abandoned dark spooky kinda look. The story line is pretty unique for a horror/thriller movie, it has that kinda of feel you get from Japanese horror movies. It gives you that creepy feeling without all of the gore (hey I love gore but it is not always necessary) and is not totally predictable either. I'm not a huge fan of Calista Flockhart but I have to say she was pretty good in this role and the rest of the cast was very fitting. In Wight Island, Amy Nicholls arrives in the old Mercy Falls Children Hospital to work as night nurse as replacement of the former nurse Susan. The hospital is in the last stages of being closed down, with all the the patients being transferred to Saint James Hospital. However, due to a train crash, the closing process has been postponed and Amy is introduced to eight children with lung cases that could not be moved yet. She feels a sort of attraction for the terminal girl Maggie, Maggie likes to play with letter blocks to talk with the "mechanical girl" called Charlotte that lives upstairs on the abandoned 2nd floor. Amy asks about Charlotte to her coworkers and they explain that she is an urban legend and the Maggie is making up her existence. But soon enough they find out that isn't the case. I give this one a 9/10.
