Movie reviews...

I have been really bad at reviewing movie I have been watching lately. I will admit that I haven't been watching as many as usual, the PS3 is sorta running our household right now even the Xbox is taking a back seat. Also I have been watching movies I have seen a million times and have reviewed already as well. So I decided I should do a movie update with a few movies that I have enjoyed as of lately.

Eclipse (2020) : Don't judge. I have not reviewed the first 2 movies because I am a Twilight closeted fan. What can I say I love cheesy vampire books/movies. These are not my favorite type of vampire movies, I am more of a Lost Boys, Bela Lugosi, Nosferatu, ect kind of fan but still enjoy the girliness of these. The first 2 movies were pretty good for what they were but I think that this is the best one so far. I feel like it wasn't as cheesy as the other two and that acting seems to have gotten a little better. Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob, knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life. I give this one an 8!

Animals (2008) : I read about this one in Fangoria and was interested in it but was a little worried because it was Maverick Entertainment release which are usually Horrible, not even bad good. But this one was really good. It had a cool idea and story line with a pretty good cast that is well knew in b-rate movies. (Side note: I am a huge fan of all things Buffy and even though he was one of my least favorite characters on the show the Marc Blucas who played Riley in a few seasons is in the movie.) The special effects are a little cheesy but def. not the worse I have seen. Jarrett is an unsuspecting, down-and-out man in a washed-up hick town whose life is turned upside down when the drop-dead gorgeous Nora walks through the door of the local bar. Jarrett's passion for Nora leads him peripherally into a sub-culture of animals where he encounters Vic, a renegade whose animal instincts are stronger than his human ones. As things begin to get even worse, Jarrett realizes that his best chance for happiness, and survival, lies in his true love for Jane. I give this one an 8, give it a chance if your in to B-rate horror films.

Cut (2001) : This is an older movie but I had never seen before. Flipping through Fearnet one day we found it and decided lets watch. I will say that it was pretty freakin' good. I really enjoyed the story line and the casting wasn't so bad either. A group of film students attempt to finish a horror movie that stopped production years earlier when the director was killed. Unaware that every attempt to complete the pic coincided with the murders of those involved, the students return to the original location in an isolated part of the country. When filming begins, so do the killings. This one gets a 8 as well.

There are more movies to review but I will get to them another day, time to enjoy this warm and sunny lazy Sunday afternoon... Enjoy!
