Happy October 1st!!!

Today was a perfect October 1st. We got up, I got my first Halloween gift of the month, then we got ready and headed out for a fun filled day. But I will share more of today tomorrow. To be honest I am getting sleepy and looking forward to come cuddles and movies, so I wanna make tonight a short update!

The first Scarecter for October 2011 is Montag the Magnificent from The Wizard of Gore from 1970!

House On Haunted Hill (Remake, 1999 ; 93 Brain Eaters) : This is a remake of the 1959 film of the same name directed by William Castle. I love the classic feel that the old black and white horror film gives you but I love really like where they took this remake. Directed by William Malone and written by Robb White and Dick Beebe. It stars Geoffrey Rush as Stephen H. Price, Famke Janssen as Evelyn Stockard-Price, Chris Kattan as Watson Pritchett, Ali Larter as Sara Wolfe/Jennifer Jenzen, Bridgette Wilson as Melissa Margaret Marr, Taye Diggs as Eddie Baker, Max Perlich as Carl Schecter, and of course the amazing Jeffrey Combs as Dr. Richard Vannacutt. Also at the beginning of the movie you have Lisa Loeb as Channel 3 reporter, James Marsters as Channel 3 cameraman and a cameo appearance by Peter Graves. This film was followed by a sequel called Return to House on Haunted Hill from 2007 which I am not a big fan of. The budget was $ 19 million and grossed almost $41 million even though it got more negative reviews than positive. I really like this this film a lot and the soundtrack is pretty great as well!
When twisted billionaire Stephen Price throws his devilish wife Evelyn a party and gets rid of her guest list, he makes one of this own. He invites and offers six strangers one million dollars each but there is only one rule to the game: they'll have to survive one night in a former mental institution, haunted by the ghosts of the inmates killed there, and an insane doctor who did unspeakable things. At first, everyone is having fun and thinking that the whole thing is a joke. But once the entire house automatically seals itself shut and strange things start happening, they realize that this is no joke and they have to figure out how to survive the night.
