I love Thursdays!

I'm in the mood for a Vampire Triple Feature since it's Vampire Diaries night. The lame girly girl inside of me loves The Vampire Diaries!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992) : Buffy Summers has the lifestyle any young woman could want. Cheerleading, dating the captain of the basketball team, and copious amounts of time spent shopping with friends. She had no idea of her true calling until a mysterious man named Merrick approached her and told her that she is the Slayer; one woman called to defend the world from vampires. Reluctant to concede to the fact, Buffy soon learns that Merrick speaks the truth and so begins to take her new life seriously while trying to maintain the sense of normality her life had once been. With her best friends slowly abandoning her, Buffy finds solace in the town outcast, Pike, who knows very well the terrors that have arisen. Together, they combat the forces of the old and powerful vampire, Lothos, who has his eyes set on Buffy.

Blood & Donuts (1995) : In 1994, in Toronto, the vampire Boya awakens from his twenty-five years of sleep in a basement hit by a golf ball. He takes a cab to the local cemetery, retrieves his belongings from a grave and lodges in a low budget hotel nearby an all-night donut shop. Boya does not drink human blood anymore but rats and pigeons blood instead. While in the donut shop, Boya befriends and protects the taxi driver Earl, who is having trouble with two criminals, and falls in love for the waitress Molly. Meanwhile, his former passion of 1969, Rita, who misses her lost youth, is trying to locate him.

Bordello of Blood (1996) : Madam Lilith runs a very unusual bordello just on the edge of town. She and her girls are more than happy to serve, but beware, they'll bleed you dry...literally. Don't fret, wisecracking private eye Rafe Guttman is hot on their trail. Before movie's end, Rafe will battle a den of luscious, scantily-clad vampiresses as well as crooked Reverend Current, who holds the key to an all-powerful talisman.

I thought Bordello of Blood was pretty good, if memory serves me. Buffy is not as good looking back, I think the show gives me expectations that the movie just can't fill. PeeWee was funny though.

I actually love the Buffy movie, it's way over the top and totally silly. I love the series way more of course but still am a fan of the movie.
