Movie Review!

Red Faction: Origins (2011) : My Mister is all about the Red Faction games so this was something he was really looking forward to watching. It was a SyFy original and it was actually really good, way better than I expected from something on SyFy. Most video games made into movies are awful but this one is not. It had a really great storyline/plot, it was the story between Red Faction: Guerilla and Red Faction: Armageddon. The cast was a good fit and the acting wasn't to bad either. The film was released on June 4, 2011 to coincide with the June 7th release of the fourth game in the series: Red Faction: ArmageddonOn a Mars colony in the year 2145, an officer in a rebel militia discovers that his sister, who was abducted a dozen years before, is still alive and has been raised as a soldier whose goal is to bring about the destruction of her brother's faction. This movie def. gets a 9.

Battle L.A (2011) : I can't believe how much I really like this movie. It has to be one of the best new movies out right now. I wasn't expecting to much from the trailers I was seeing but still really wanted to see it. The casting was amazing, you fall in love with every character. The plot was right on and perfect. For being an action scifi movie it really makes you feel for the characters and for me usually I wanna see the bad side win but not this time around. I love this movie and can honestly not find anything wrong with it. Los Angeles and other cities around the world are being bombarded by meteors that seem to be slowing down once they hit the earth's atmosphere. The earth is suddenly being invaded by space aliens that have landed off the shore of LA, and who begin killing everybody along the beach. The military is ordered into action. Marine Staff Sergeant Nantz who was about to retire, is reassigned to a new platoon. The platoon, flown by chopper to the forward operating base at Santa Monica Airport, is being led by a new 2nd Lt. Martinez. They are sent on a mission to rescue some civilians who are trapped at the police station within alien territory. They only have 3 hours to complete their mission and get out before the Air Force bombs that zone. This one is a 10!
