Saturday Graverite!

Ginger Snaps Back : The beginning (2004 ; 94 brain eaters) : Bridget (Emily Perkins) and Ginger (Katharine Isabelle) are back in  a 19th century prequel to the first two successful entries in the Ginger Snaps Canadian film series. Directed by Grant Harve and written by Stephen Massicotte and Christina RayYes this is not the best movie series ever or greatest werewolf movies but I still really enjoy them. This has a pretty good cast for the most part with a decent storyline/plot. If you have seen the other movies you will notice the characters are very much the same just the time frame has changed. You will see small things that are off about the time period like the guns and what not but not really a big deal.
In 1815, in Canada, the sisters Ginger and Brigitte survive to a boat sinking, where their parents die. Alone and lost in the forest, they meet an old clairvoyant Indian that foresees their fate. Later, they are guided by the Indian The Hunter to a fort, and they seek for shelter with the men of the Northern Legion Trading Company. They note that the place is under siege of "Wendigos", a sort of werewolf that has killed most of the dwellers of the place, and the survivals are very afraid. Their lives are put in danger by the deranged locals and by the surrounding beasts. The two lone women in the camp are faced with growing hostility stemmed from the fire and brimstone preacher (Hugh Dillon from the Canadian punk rock band the Headstones) and a dangerous secret that lands Ginger back in werewolf land once again. Perfect for a winter night and werewolf lovers. Enjoy!
