Saturday Gravrites!
Happy Maliens (May-lee-uns). Well it is the 1st day of May and this month it is all about aliens. To start it off the Saturday Gravrites movie is one of my most favorite movies ever. Mars Attacks!: Hands down this is one of the best Tim Burton movie ever. Not only is the story line amazing but it also has one of the best cast ever. There isn't a person in this movie that I don't love. I have probley watched this movie at least 200 times since I first saw it when it first came out. This is your campy B-rate sci-fi comedy that has the feeling of old sci-fi alien invasion movies with ray guns and funny sounding (but totally amazing) aliens. This movie is actually based off trading cars. Back in the late 1960s, Topps Cards created a line of Mars Attacks trading cards. These cards were pulled off the shelves after only a few months because the aliens depicted on them were considered to be too gruesome. When the USA satellites photograph many flying saucers coming to Earth, the American President James Dale has a meeting with his advisers. He is convinced by Professor Donald Kessler that Martians would be a developed culture and therefore peaceful by nature, in spite of the warnings of General Decker. The authorities, some civilians and the press prepare a welcome committee for the aliens, but they realize that Mars is actually attacking Earth. "They Came In Peace"

Movie update!
Movies haven't been the main entertainment in our place lately so I haven't had to many movies to review but we did squeeze in a few so here goes. First off we watched Neowolf. It was horrible, seriously one of the worst movies I have seen in a long time. When an aspiring rock musician Tony returns to his college town to make up with his estranged girlfriend Rosemary, he finds his life taking an unexpected turn to the dark side. When he encounters a mysterious rock band Neowolf led by rocker Vince and the alluring band girl Paula, things just take a turn. When Rosemary's best friend Kevin turns up dead, Rosemary seeks out a Nursery owner Mrs. Belakov who knows the secrets of an ancient evil. I do not recommend this one at all. I give it a -5.
Avatar: First off I will admit I never really wanted to see this when it came out. I truly wanted to hate it just because of everything I had read and seen just didn't so anything for me and I felt that it was a bit over rated. Well it came out on dvd and since we just got a PS3
Descent 2: I was super excited about this movie since I love the first one. It is really hard to find new school horror movies that are amazing like the first one. The second one ended up being really good for being part 2. It picked up where the last one ended and had a few of the same cast members. The ending was a little predictable but I still enjoyed it. Distraught, confused, and half-wild with fear, Sarah Carter emerges alone from the Appalachian cave system where she encountered unspeakable terrors. Unable to plausibly explain to the authorities what happened or why she's covered in her friends' blood, Sarah is forced back to the subterranean depths to help locate her five missing companions. As the rescue party drives deeper into uncharted caverns, nightmarish visions of the recent past begin to haunt Sarah and she starts to realize the full horror and futility of the mission. Subjected to the suspicion and mistrust of the group and confronted once more by the inbred, feral and savagely ruthless Crawlers, Sarah must draw on all her inner reserves of strength and courage in a desperate final struggle for deliverance and redemption. I give this one an 8.
