Splatterhouse!

After waiting a long time for the new Splatterhouse to come out it finally did. I preordered it for Brownlog for our 6 year mark (plus when you preordered it you got a 6 inch mask), nothing better than a gory video game for a present right. Yesterday we picked it up and he has been playing it nonstop since. I will eventually get my own turn at it. But for now I have the honor of sitting next to him and getting to watch (we both share the love for video games, him a little more than I so I still like to sit and watch if I am not in the mood to play or if it's one player). I have to say this game is def. worth the $60. I hate paying full price for a video game for the most part because they are not so cheap but if it's worth it I don't mind and this one is worth it. We got it for Xbox 360, we also have a Playstation 3 so sometimes we're not sure which system to get a game for but the Mister decided on 360 this time (our Xbox needed some love). The graphics and art work are awesome. This is probably one of the bloodiest goriest games I have ever seen and that's a good thing if you ask me. It has a good storyline/plot (similar to the original but not totally the same, more of a retelling of the story just a lot deeper in detail) but it is your run of the mill button mashing fighting game (I love those types of games). It has some awesome creatures and other great features like for example the mask talks to you and if you are doing shitty it will tell you. If you are looking for something horror based this is def. for you. There were 3 Splatterhouse games out before this one. First it was released in arcades and then to TurboGrafx-16, FM Towns and PC but they down played it and made a lot of changes because they though it was too violent for at home gaming but it still got a mature rating. Part 2 was released for the Sega and than part 3 was released for Sega as well. You can unlock all 3 original games in the new one. This is a great series of video games if you are as much of a horror fan as we are. All and all I think the new Splatterhouse is AMAZING and everyone should go out and buy it. I give this a 10!
