Saturday Favorites!

Wild Zero:  Well it is Saturday again and it is time for a new favorite. I love this movie, the first time I saw this movie I fell in love after only 2 minutes. It has an amazing story line of course the casting is perfect because it has GUITAR WOLF! It is your over the top b-rate cheesy Japanese horror/sci-fi movie. This movie combines flying saucers, flesh-eating zombies, gender-bending love scenes and a sleazy music promoter wearing the tightest short shorts known to man. All of this laced with powerhouse punk/rockabilly music, buckets of sloppy gore and craziness. Ace, a rockabilly fan who really wants to be cool, is on his way to seeing his favorite (real-life) group Guitar Wolf when a strange thing occurs. After saving his heros Guitar Wolf from their manager, and having the honour of becoming their blood brother, wannabe rocker Ace finds himself caught up in the carnage. He didn't think he'd need Guitar Wolf's help quite so soon. Aliens are invading the Earth and people start returning to life as flesh-eating zombies! Ace and the members of the band get entangled in many misadventures with crazy rock managers in very tight shorts, transsexuals, naked women shooting guns in the shower, and bloodthirsty zombies ready to tear them apart. Leather jackets, loud over-modulated music, laser guitar picks, motorcycles, muscle cars, and LOTS of fire, it’s all right here! Of course flesh-eating zombies are a bonus. Think Dawn of the Dead meets Kiss meets The Phantom of the Park with the humor of Evil Dead 2 and that’s what Wild Zero is all about! Please see this movie if you haven't, it is probley the best cheesy Japanese horror movie ever!
