Saturday Favorites!

Rockabilly Vampire : Burnin' Love: I will start off saying that I love this movie but it is not for everyone. This is your b-rate Troma classic. Either you like cheesy Troma movies or you don't. I think this movie is very entertaining. This movie takes four things I love (cheesy Troma movies, rockabilly, Elvis, and vampires) and puts it all together. It is not the greatest story line and the acting isn't perfect but I find myself watching this one pretty often. Def. a favorite in my book. It is about luscious Iris M. Daugherty who is a 50's obsessed investigative author out to prove that Elvis Presley is still alive. She is having problems with her job, her landlord, her landlord's scummy son, and can't get rid of her one date ex who is obsessed with the Beatles. While conducting research on Elvis, she runs across a dead ringer for the King who'd like to make her his Queen of the Damned. Seems the pompadoured bohunk was bitten by his vampire brother on the way to the Elvis lookalike contest back in 1956. Four decades later, he's loose in Manhattan and looking for a wild time. Will Iris succeed to this surly, swingin' Nosferatu! Only one way to find out. This movie also has an awesome soundtrack. Watch this one, it's a blast!!!
