Happy Easter!

Happy Easter/ Zombie Jesus Day/ Bunny Day or what ever else you call it. Easter is already here and so here is some horror movies to pass the time. I remember getting up early, finding my Easter basket, egg hunts and watching Easter specials. I miss those days, but now I still get a basket, we watch Easter specials and spend the rest of the day watching Easter horror, so it is just as fun. So here is a list of the not so cute side of Easter. Enjoy!

Critters 2: The flesh-eating fur-balls from outer space are back for a second outing and this time its an even bigger problem as the nearby community of Grovers Bend mistake a batch of unhatched critter eggs for Easter eggs and become the latest course! It's just as well those bounty-hunting hero's are back to save the day! But as the residents are already dropping by the mouthful, it seems as if this time the critters have won. Too bad!

Easter Bunny, Kill! Kill!: Remington, a murderous drifter cons his way into a mother's heart, putting on a fatherly facade to her cherished son, Nicholas. But the second she leaves for work, a torrid of abuse rains upon the gentle boy. Remington heads out for some hookers and invites his dilettante-child molester-drug-dealer buddy over to abuse Nicholas. In the meantime, the only comfort the boy gets is in confiding with his new pet bunny. Debauchery is at hand but Nicholas is nowhere to be found but someone wearing the mask of the beloved holiday hopper shows up ready to deliver a blood-splattered night of unspeakable carnage.

Night Of The Lepus: Cole Hillman's Arizona ranch is plagued with 'mongrel' rabbits, and he wants to employ an ecologically sound control method. As a favor to college benefactor Hillman, college president Elgin Clark calls in zoologist Roy Bennett to help. Bennett immediately begins injecting rabbits with hormones and genetically mutated blood in an effort to develop a method of disrupting rabbit reproduction. One of the test subjects escapes, resulting in a race of bloodthirsty, wolf-sized, man-, horse-, and cow-eating bunnies. Eventually the National Guard is called in for a final showdown with the terrorizing rabbits.

Kottontail: The "Overlook Animal Research Laboratory" has long been working on genetic engineering without any trouble. That all changes one night when two would be animal liberators set free a test rabbit, not knowing that the bunny's genes have gone haywire. On the loose, the vicious little beast soon attacks a farmer - Hans Kottentail. Hans quickly begins to change. He grows fur, eats veggies and... hops. It isn't long before murderous a rage overtakes poor Hans and he begins picking off towns folk at a rapid pace. It's up to 5 local women, each with ties to the case, to bring him down before he kills them all.

Peter Rottontail: Years ago, an incident at a birthday party-gone-wrong resulted in Peter Rottentail, a half-man/half-rabbit creature with nothing but the most evil intentions. Now, James and Lenny are spending a weekend fixing up an empty house that was just purchased by a relative. Unfortunately for them, the house has a connection with that fateful night that merged man with furry little beast.

Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter: The first testament says "an eye for an eye." The second testament says "love thy neighbour." The third testament KICKS ASS! The second coming is upon us, and Jesus has returned to earth. But before he can get down to the serious business of judging the living and the dead, he has to contend with an army of vampires that can walk in the daylight. Combining kung-fu action with biblical prophecy and a liberal dose of humour, the film teams the Savior with Mexican wrestling hero El Santos against mythological horrors and science gone mad, and also manages to address contemporary sexual politics. And did we mention that it's a musical? This sure ain't Sunday School.

Zombie Jesus!: Mary Maynard has returned to town to mend the relationship with her devout priest father. But Zombie Jesus has his own plans for their reunion. Compelled by the horror of Christ, Mary teams up with the local Jew, Isaac, in a desperate crusade to save Mary's father.
