The Wicker Man from 1973. This is another one of those movies my uncle gave me on VHS. It is about a Sergeant Neil Howie who goes to a private Scottish island looking for a missing girl named Rowan Morrison because of a letter he received. The place belongs to Lord Summerisle and is famous for apples, other fruits and their harvest. Sgt. Howie realizes that the locals are pagans, practicing old rituals, and doing thing he just doesn't find right. After denying Rowan existed he is than told she is dead. He doesn't believe she is dead and is trying to find her before something bad happen to her. The end is a tragic surprise. It really is a good movie and the remake is pretty good as well.
