Halloween II and Orphan!

Well on Saturday we made a trip to the US 23 Drive-in to see Halloween II and Orphan. It was hard to convince Brownlog to go because of his hate for Rob Zombies Halloween. But he said as long as there was a good movie showing with it he would go. I have to say I didn't hate Halloween II. It took me 4 watches to like the first one sorta but this one I would say is much better. I mean there are a few things that annoyed me but for the most part I find it entertaining. It is not the best movie I have seen and def. not a favorite but something that deserves a second watch when it comes out on DVD. I think the casting was good except for the fact that Sheri Moon Zombie was in it again, I mean I like her just not her acting. I also hate Malcolm McDowell as Loomis, I just don't think he fits the part very well. I like that it picks up a year later and shows what a mess Laurie is in. It def. focused on her a little more then Michael Myers which I though was a good idea. It wasn't a remake of the original part 2 and that is a good thing. For the most past it is pretty good, I'll give it a 7.8 for now but that might change later on.

Now the Orphan was amazing, way better then I though it would be. I give this a 10 right a way. It is about this family who has 2 children and a third on the way but loses the baby. So they decide to adopt a 9 year old girl. Things are great at first and then the mother becomes suspicious of the girl doing horrible things. It starts to make a mess of the family. Looking into the little girls past some crazy things come out. It is def. suspenseful and makes you go wow at the end. Check this one out if you get the chance. So good. Pretty good double feature. It was a good night besides the fact it got really cold at the end.
