Well I watched the new Friday the 13th for the first time since I saw it in the theater. I decided I had to give it a second chance because the first time I saw it I had lots of distractions. I have to say I am not a big fan of it. It is not the worse movie I have seen but it is not a great movie in my eyes. I feel as if they were trying to take the first 3 movies and squish them into one, it is def. not the same but it has a lot of the same ideas. I feel as if Jason was kinda lame, there were no chase scenes, "look it is Jason, then the person dies". The original has the music and the chase scenes, hello classic! Oh and the mask scene, how he found the mask was so stupid I could punch the writer for that one. I have said it a million times I am not a big fan of horror remakes, some are great but some just plain suck. I do have to say I think the acting was kinda lacking. Oh and I am so sick of fake boobs. I want to see boobs but REAL ones, come on. It does have some of the elements like sex, drugs, drinking and all that jazz of a good horror movie. It was more on the scary side then cheesy but not scary enough. I could have cared less for any of the characters and I found Jason kinda boring and def. nothing like the original. I actually do not know what to give this. So no rating here sorry. Stop remaking classic, just leave those great movies a lone unless you can actually do it some justice. I do have to say I did like one scene which is when the chic is being cooked hahahahaha I hated that chic! I also have a favorite quote, " I am not going to go out there with a boner." But all en all I do not suggest watching this if you are in the mood for a good horror movie, just watch all off the real ones.
