Todays scarecter are the Kids on the School Bus from Trick r' Treat! 

Trick r' Treat (2007 ; 82 Brain Eaters) : This is a great horror film written and directed by Michael Dougherty, based on his short film Season's Greetings. Trick r' Treat was set on Halloween with a bunch of stories interweave into one in a very clever way. If you pay attention when one story is going on you will see characters from the other stories which tie all the stories together. It was originally going to be released in October of 2007 but got pushed back for unknown reasons and was released straight to DVD in October of 2009. Honestly this film shouldn't have went straight to DVD but what can you do. It is probably one of the greatest horror films to be made and released in the 2000's. It has an amazing cast made up of Dylan Baker, Rochelle Aytes, Anna Paquin, Brian Cox, Quinn Lord, Lauren Lee Smit, Tahmoh Penikett, Brett Kelly, Britt McKillip, Isabelle Deluce, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Leslie Bibb, Christine Willes and so on. The film was filmed on location in Vancouver, British Columbia. It has that dark creepy feel with out being too over the top. There is talk about a sequel. If your into graphic novels you should check out the Trick r' Treat graphic novel and also check out the film score! 

  It is said that Halloween is the night when the dead rise to walk among us and other unspeakable things roam free. The rituals of All Hallows Eve were devised to protect us from their evil mischief, and one small town is about to be taught a terrifying lesson that some traditions are best not forgotten. Nothing is what it seems when a suburban couple learns the dangers of blowing out a Jack-o-Lantern before midnight; four women cross paths with a costumed stalker at a local festival; a group of pranksters goes too far and discovers the horrifying truth buried in a local legend; and a cantankerous old hermit is visited by a strange trick-or-treater with a few bones to pick. Costumes and candy, ghouls and goblins, monsters and mayhem... the tricks and treats of Halloween turn deadly as strange creatures of every variety-human and otherwise-try to survive the scariest night of the year.

Halloween treats!

The Mister gave me a Trash Pack gift this morning. These are the ones I got today, I love the little hot dog and bee. I can not get enough of this cute little pieces of trash!

It is officially Halloween weekend, as excited as I am that it is here I am going to be sad to see it go and to see what comes after. I like the snow for five minutes and I love the holidays most of the time. But I am not looking forward to cold , snow or the holidays this year. This has been one of the worst years in my life and I will be happy to see it go, I just don't feel like having to finish it out. But that's not what's important right now, Halloween is! I am excited about a weekend full of trick or treaters, a Halloween party, candy, Halloween horror movies and cartoons, and everything else Halloweenie that we can fit in. I hope everyone enjoys their Halloween weekend!

A Pumpkinhead triple feature plus one! 

Pumpkinhead (1988) : A group of city kids go into the country to relax. While there, one of them is involved in a biking accident that takes the life of the son of the local storekeeper. In a fit of rage, the storekeeper has a witch unleash an unstoppable demon called "Pumpkinhead" to kill the group. When he realizes he's gone too far, the storekeeper attempts to save the kids, but is continually afflicted by visions of peoples' deaths through the eyes of the monster.

Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings (1994) : After a group of teenagers indirectly cause an old witch to be burned, they accidently revive Pumpkinhead. This time Pumpkinhead is inhabited by the soul of a deformed orphan killed 30 years before. He goes on a bloody rampage after his tormentors and the teenagers. Meanwhile, a local sheriff tries to solve the mystery and stop the murders.

Pumpkinhead: Ashes to Ashes (2006) : Townspeople angered over the local mortician stealing and selling the organs of their loved ones and then dumping the corpses in a swamp, rather than cremating them. When the townspeople find out, they have the old witch Haggis summon Pumpkinhead through the mummified body of Ed Harley. Pumpkinhead then proceeds to go on his killing rampage murdering all those responsible for the desecration, while Doc Frasier hurries to murder those who summoned Pumpkinhead, which will effectively kill the demon in the process.

Pumpkinhead: Blood Feud (2007) : In a Virginia forest village, true love between Ricky McCoy and Jodie Hatfield is sabotaged by their families' long-standing bitter feud. Despite sheriff Dallas Pope's grim warning, actually from bitter experience, it will only eat up his sole, Ricky resorts to vengeance on all standing in his way by appealing to pumpkin-head, a magical forester monster, who unleashes ever greater horror.

Keep away from Pumpkinhead,
Unless you're tired of living,
His enemies are mostly dead,
He's mean and unforgiving,
Laugh at him and you're undone,
But in some dreadful fashion,
Vengeance, he considers fun,
And plans it with a passion,
Time will not erase or blot,

Todays scarecter is Regan from The Exorcist! 

We spend the whole year watching horror movies but once October gets here it's like we try and squeeze all our favorite horror classics in and there are just so many. Plus lets be honest the Mister spends a big portion of his time when he isn't working gaming which I don't mind but when trying to fit in a bunch of movies it can get hard. Plus he works more in the fall so we don't have as much free time. But anyway back to my point. So tonight when we got home from shopping we put on the movie Freddy vs. Jason. I swear I end up picking this movie out all the time, the Mister will be like "we just watched that a little while ago" and I'm like "oh I don't remember", I remember. I think I love this movie so much because it takes two of my favorite horror villains, a pretty good cast, a great story line, some gore, some cheesy lines, some great scenes, some awesomeness and just makes one great film all together. This is just an all around good time for any horror fan and I just don't feel it gets as much love as it should.

Here are a few pictures from the beginning of our party. To be honest once a lot of the people got over because out place is so small, it was broke up into a few groups with made it hard to take pictures, and once everyone started drinking taking pictures seemed to be unimportant...

Todays scarecter is Villains from Buffy the Vampire Slayer! 

Another one of my October gifts that I totally love. I love this thing so much that I don't even wanna grow it, I just wanna hang it on our Halloween tree!

A few TV Shows I am really enjoying at the moment!

Todd and the Book of Pure Evil : This is  a Canadian comedy/horror television series about a stoner metalhead named Todd Smith, his crushee Jenny, his best friend Curtis, and the geeky Hannah who search their high school for a mayhem-causing Satanic spell book, while being opposed by Atticus, the evil guidance councillor.

Death Valley : The Undead Task Force, a branch of the LAPD formed when the San Fernando Valley was overtaken by zombies, werewolves and vampires. They must continue to get rid of the monsters and contain them in the valley. While this occurs, scientists work to find out what caused the outbreak. A brave camera crew comes along for the ride.

American Horror Story : The series centers on the Harmon family, Ben, Vivien and their daughter Violet, who move from Boston to Los Angeles after Ben has an affair and Vivien has a miscarriage. They move into a restored mansion, unaware that the home is haunted.

The Secret Circle : This series follows 16-year-old Cassie, who moves from California to live with her grandmother in New Salem and falls in love with a mysterious boy named Adam. But, when she enrolls in high school there, she realizes that he, she and all the other elite students at the school are witches! She befriends their leader, Diana, but soon discovers that Adam and Diana are dating, which leads to a whole bunch of complicated drama.

Yesterday was our Halloween party which has been keeping me super busy but it turned out to be a great night. Now I can get back to my normal everyday deal. I will post a few pictures tomorrow. But on to what I wanted to post about...

  I totally just discovered these things called The Trash Pack. I saw one a little while ago but didn't know what it was till the other day I ran in to Toy"R"Us and found the display. The Mister and I love creepy things in blind boxes, like when we first started dating we would go on Creepy Freak dates. We would drive to KB Toys which wasn't that close, buy a bunch of them, go to dinner and open them. We did that till we ended up with two full sets and way too many doubles, triples and so on, now looking back we really only needed one full set. But now back to The Trash Pack. So these little trash creatures come in a tiny garbage can, you can buy single garbage cans or packs that come with a few trash cans. In the trash can there are two little guys. There are different types, you have the Grubz, Hard Rubbish, Bin-Sects, Bin Critters, Bin Monsters, Bin-Fections and Limit Edition. They are tiny rubber pieces of trash with cute faces, nothing gets better than that. Who knew you could make trash cute right? But they did. I only grabbed one for now and the Mister bought a pack to give me at a later time. We got in the car and opened the singled and just realized we are probably going to waste a lot of money on these. It nice to have something silly to look forward too when we are in the area of a Toy"R"Us.
