My Bloody Valentine (1981) : There's a big valentine-party planned in the little coal mining town of Valentine Bluffs, Nova Scotia. It is the first Valentine's Day party in 20 years, because then there was an accident in the mine, and the accident happened because the men responsible for the security was at the party. The sole surviving miner, named Harry Warden, later killed them, and told the town NEVER to arrange a Valentine's Day party again. The party begins, and so does the killing.

My Bloody Valentine 3-D (2009) : In the mining town of Harmony, a drilling accident is caused by the son of the owner, Tom Hanniger. The mine collapses, burying six miners alive. The rescue team finds only Harry Warden alive, but in coma, and the other miners murdered by his pickax, and they conclude that Harry killed them to save oxygen for himself. On Valentine's Day, Harry awakes from his coma in the local hospital, and he kills twenty-two people, including a group of teenagers that are partying in the mine. Harry is killed by the deputy, but the only survivors are Tom Hanniger, his girlfriend Sarah, their friend Axel Palmer and his girlfriend Irene. Ten years later, Tom returns to Harmony after the death of his father. Tom has decided to sell the Hanniger Mine, and finds that Sarah has married Axel, who is now the local sheriff, and they have a son named Noah. On Valentine's Day, Harry Warden also returns, seeking revenge against those that had escaped his pickax in the past, and Tom is accused by Axel and other locals, who in turn makes accusations against Axel.

Valentine (2001) : Valentine's Day 1988: At the school dance, geeky Jeremy Melton bravely faces one rejection after the other when asking four popular girls to dance with him. A fifth girl, plump and insecure, agrees, but they end up making out under the bleachers. When a group of school bullies catches them, the girl claims that Jeremy attacked her. This causes them to strip off his clothes and beat him up in front of the entire school. Flash forward to 2001. We meet the five girls who were in that school gym: Kate, Paige, Shelly, Lily and the formerly plump Dorothy. They are all in their 20's now and trying to sort out their love lives, which is appropriate, since Valentine's Day is coming up. After a disastrous date with a loser, one of the girls, a pre-med student, is murdered by a Cherub-mask wearing killer who sent her a death threat in the form of a Valentine card prior to the attack.

Lovers Lane (2000) : On Valentine's Day 13 years ago, two young lovers were brutally murdered at Lovers Lane by a crazed killer wielding a steel hook. The killer was caught, but the scars he left behind never healed. Now it's Valentine's Day again and the killer has escaped and is out to kill. Nothing says valentines day love like a deranged killer with a hook looking to make a valentines banner out of your intenstines!

Return to Horror High (1987) : An american horror comedy directed by Bill Froehlich and written by Mark Lisson, Dana Escalante, Greg H. Sims and Bill Froehlich. It is somewhat notable as being George Clooney's first film role and it also stars Richard Brestoff, Vince Edwards, Al Fann, Panchito Gómez, Scott Jacoby, Michael Eric Kramer, and so on. Return to Horror High was given a limited release theatrically in the United States by New World Pictures in January 1987 and it grossed $1,189,709 at the box office. This film is amusing and there were some great one liners. This isn't scary and the the special effects aren't great but it has some great cheese. This film doesn't make alot of sense but it's fun a night if you in the mood for cheesy horror!

In 1982, the town of Crippen was rocked by a series of murders at Crippen High School. The killer was never caught. Several years later, Cosmic Pictures, headed by sleazy producer Harry Sleerik, has come to Crippen to make a movie about the murders, setting up shop in the high school. However, it seems the killer is still there, and as crew and cast members disappear left and right, it's up to ex-student/cop/leading man Steven Blake and leading lady Callie Cassidy to get to the bottom of this.

Last night we finally got to watched the film Rubber. We saw the trailer when we watched Hobo With a Shotgun and we were totally stoked to see it. I can honestly say that I enjoyed it, it can be slightly boring at times but it has some really great moments. The Mister hated it and wanted his hour and 15 minutes back but I found it entertaining. I will say this, the trailer is very leading, it makes you think you are going to see a movie full of action involving a killer tire but it is a little more slow paces than that. It is not your normal horror spoof or silly gimmick film, it's a little more than that. This film is homage to 'no reason'. This film isn't for everyone but I do think everyone needs to give it a chance. I'd give it a rating of 7.5.
Rubber is a 2010 French horror like comedy film directed and written by Quentin Dupieux. In the California desert, a tire comes to life and embarks on a killing spree as an audience watches the events unfold through binoculars. The tire kills by vibrating intensely and psychokinetically causing people's heads to explode. Settling into an obscure, desert town, the tire finds a woman that he is interested in. A sheriff investigating the murders is inside and outside the diegesis, sometimes participating in the narrative action and sometimes commenting on it. In the end, the tire is destroyed, but then reincarnated as a tricycle. The tricycle recruits several tires and rolls to Hollywood, where the film concludes.

Ticked-Off Trannies With Knives (2010) : Pinky La'Trimm is a flamboyant transgender woman who runs a nightclub in a rough-and-tumble Texas town. Bubbles Cliquot, Tipper Sommore, Rachel Slurr and Emma Grashun are fellow trannies who are both performers and regular customers at Pinky's club, and one night after a few drinks Bubbles is picked up by Boner, a redneck who doesn't realize she's not all woman. Confused and humiliated by his experience with Bubbles, Boner and his pals Chuey and Nacho decide they want revenge and beat Bubbles within an inch of her life. After visiting Bubbles in the hospital, Pinky, Tipper, Emma and Rachel decide they're not about to let this hate crime stand, and when the police refuse to help they set out to get street justice against the men who attacked their friend.

Baby Jane? (2010) : Baby Jane is a tragic victim manipulated by her melodramatic sister Blanche. Blanche who set up her own accident continues to keep Baby Jane in the dark... always thinking that she was the evil sister.

Pink Flamingos (1972) : In a trailer outside of Baltimore lives Divine, under the fake name Babs Johnson. Hiding from the press after being granted the title "filthiest person alive'', she also has her mom who idolizes eggs, her equally criminal some Crackers, and girlfriend Cotton. Despite occasional visits by neighborhood friendly Mr. Eggman, an upper-class couple name the Marbles do all they can do so they can be even filthier that Divine is. Now it's a battle between the filthiest.

It's sunny and a lot warmer than it should be for early February and I am very good with that but I still feel off today. I decided to change up the Saturday Graverite a little today and instead of focusing on an old favorite I am going to talk about a few of my new favorite movies...

Chillerama (2011) : This is a new school horror comedy anthology film consisting of four stories that take place at a drive-in playing horror movies on it's last night with a background story going on at the drive-in as well. Each story pays homages to a different genre and style. It is very over the top and campy. This first time I watched this movie I just fell in love with it right away. I love the idea of old monster movies, so taking the idea of an old monster movie and adding a silly factor just makes it great. I would give this one a 10 hands down.

Tucker & Dale vs Evil (2010) : This Canadian horror comedy film was written and directed by Eli Craig. When I first say the cover of this film it reminded me of Jack Brooks Monster Slayer which I love so that alone made me wanna check it out. Than after I saw the casting I was sold. The story line is simple and fun, it is definitely worth a watch and some laughs. It is about Two lovable West Virginian hillbillies who are headed to their "fixer-upper" vacation cabin to drink some beer, do some fishin', and have a good time. But when they run into a group of preppy college kids who assume from their looks that they must be in-bred, chainsaw wielding killers, Tucker & Dale's vacation takes a bloody & hilarious turn for the worse. This one gets an 8.5!

Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl (2009) : I know I just posted this for my Thursday triple feature but I am so inlove with this film. I love asian horror because it is always over the top with lots of gore, interesting ideas and great plots. This film took the idea of two classic horror villains and made them into young hot asian girls who are basically fighting over a boy. The amount of fake blood reminds me a lot of Dead Alive and I am a sucker for over the top way too much fake blood in a film. Plus this film has a little bit of everything all rolled up in one bloody silly mess. This one gets a 10+!

Deceiving Mizushima into eating a token gift of chocolate, laced with her blood, he is then catapulted into Monami's vampire world of blood, death and love. Jilted girlfriend Keiko has other ideas. With a sudden twist of fate, she is then transformed into the hideous and unforgiving Frankenstein Girl, and the battle for Mizushima's heart begins.

I hate living in Michigan but only in the winter, when I moved to New Jersey I promised myself I wouldn't move back but I ended up back here anyways. For the most part I don't mind it, minus the 5 plus months of winter, but this year hasn't been too bad and easy to deal with. But today it started snowing and reminded me how much I dislike the snow. I like it when it first starts to fall as long as I don't have to drive in it and it is really pretty the first few hours. But after that it gets dirty, slushy, and down right annoying. Of course today had to be one of those days that the Mister has to work on a Sunday evening and right now our truck isn't in the greatest condition so it is not a fun snow day but since it is a snow day I decided what's more fun that a snow day movie day with movies that have nothing to do with snow and don't really go together...

Pulp Fiction (1994) : Jules Winnfield and Vincent Vega are two hitmen who are out to retrieve a suitcase stolen from their employer, mob boss Marsellus Wallace. Wallace has also asked Vincent to take his wife Mia out a few days later when Wallace himself will be out of town. Butch Coolidge is an aging boxer who is paid by Wallace to lose his next fight. The lives of these seemingly unrelated people are woven together comprising of a series of funny, bizarre and uncalled-for incidents.

Cecil B. DeMented (2000) : In Baltimore, guerrilla filmmaker Cecil B. Demented leads a band of cinema revolutionaries who kidnap Honey Whitlock, a bitchy and aging movie star of big-budget froth. Cecil wants her in his movie, a screed against Hollywood they film during blitzkrieg attacks on a multiplex, a Maryland Film Commission press conference, and the set of a "Forrest Gump" sequel. He insists on celibacy; the cast and crew channel sexual energy into the production. With a family-values coalition, aggrieved Teamsters, and the police on their trail, Cecil needs help from porno, kung-fu, and drive-in audiences.

It is Saturday which means two things for me, it is time for a Saturday Graverite and we get to spend the evening with Eric and my bestie. Seeing that I will be busy this evening I figured I should get my Graverite out of the way. Due to being out of town last weekend I miss last Saturdays and I have also been neglecting my blog again. I seriously need to get my stuff together and stop the slacking, I notice that I am doing it and now I just need to fix that. I decided that as much as I love me some horror movies, I needed to step out of the box and pick another favorite of mine that isn't horror based. So this weeks Graverite is...

But I'm a Cheerleader (1999 ; 85 Brain Eaters ) : This film is pretty much a romantic comedy which I am not normally a fan of unless someone is beheading someone else for love but I love the look and feel of this film plus the story line/plot is a great one. Directed by Jamie Babbit and written by Brian Wayne Peterson, it stars Natasha Lyonne, Dante Basco, Eddie Cibrian, Clea DuVall, Cathy Moriarty, RuPaul, Richard Moll, Mink Stole, Kip Pardue, Michelle Williams and Bud Cort. But I'm a Cheerleader was Babbit's first feature film and it was inspired by an article about conversion therapy and her childhood familiarity with rehabilitation programs. She wanted to explore the social construction of gender roles and heteronormativity, the costume and set design of the film highlighted these themes using artificial textures in intense blues and pinks. The budget for this film was around $1 million and it grossed over $2 million but received many negative reviews, calling some of the characters stereotypical and comparing it to John Waters work in a bad way. But I love John Waters so in my eyes that is not a bad thing at all. The film did rate well with the public and has a huge following. The bonus is the soundtrack is amazing but never released on cd but easy to make yourself.
Megan is an all-American girl, she's a cheerleader, she has a boyfriend, good friends and a supportive family. But she doesn't like kissing her boyfriend very much, she's pretty touchy with her cheerleader friends and she only has pictures of girls up in her locker. Her parents and friends conclude that she *must* be gay and send her off to "sexual redirection" school, full of admittedly homosexual misfits, where she can learn to how to be straight. Struggling with the idea she might be gay, Megan is trying to be a successful heterosexual but she struggles with her growing love for Graham.

Popcorn (1991) : A "Leatherface" type murderer who wears other people's faces, kills at an all-night horrorthon at an old theatre put on by a bunch of film students. Maggie, the lead character, believes it's really Lanyard Gates, a crazed film maker who killed his family live on stage, fifteen years ago. And now he's back to kill his daughter, Sara, who is believed to be really Maggie.

Drive-In Massacre (1976) : The plot begins on August 10 in a California drive-in theatre, and concerns a killer on the loose, with the victims beheaded with a large sword. Two policemen are sent to investigate the killings, and question the owner of the drive-in, his assistant and a local peeping Tom, before going undercover to catch the killer themselves.

I was going to do a Friday the 13th post yesterday but to be honest it was a super busy day and kind of a sad one as well. After getting up I had to get ready right away and after that I was out the door doing a whole lot of running around. Once I got home, I did some cleaning, cooked dinner and than a few of our friends dropped by to watch Friday the 13th movies. Plus yesterday was my dads birthday and the idea of him being gone just bums me out. All I wanted to do was call him, hear his voice and wish him a Happy Birthday. In April it will be a year that he has been gone and it still feels just as empty and awful like it was yesterday. This time of the year just makes me think of last year and how bad it was for our family when things started going bad. But besides the sad part it was a pretty good day, but I am not allow to talk about the good parts yet, I promised the Mister. Enough of my emotional journey on the first Friday the 13th of the year and on to a Saturday Graverite snow double feature!

The Thing (1982) : An American scientific expedition to the frozen wastes of the Antarctic is interrupted by a group of seemingly mad Norwegians pursuing and shooting a dog. The helicopter pursuing the dog crashes leaving no explanation for the chase. During the night, the dog mutates and attacks other dogs in the cage and members of the team that investigate. The team soon realises that an alien life-form with the ability to take over other bodies is on the loose and they don't know who may already have been taken over.

Dreamcatcher (2003) : Jonesy, Pete, Beaver and Henry are all childhood friends, kept together by a special secret they share. Once every year, they go on a hunting trip to the Jefferson Tract. This year is different. They shelter a man who has been lost for days in the woods in the middle of a still-continuing blizzard. The man has odd marks on his face. As they discover the awful truth of what he is infected with, the military attempts to quarantine an alien virus as a result of an alien crash landing. The four friends must survive the alien infection and overpower a crazed military admiral who prepares to wipe out the whole Jefferson Tract in order to contain the alien infection.

Twenty bloody years later, Tony returns to his high school, where he is able to pass himself off as his own son and enjoy all the glory he missed, including football stardom and hot chicks.

Monster Dog (1985) : Alice Cooper plays a pop star who takes his band to his hometown to shoot his latest video. They are greeted by the sheriff (whom he's known since a kid) that warn him that there's been several murders in the area where the bodies were ripped to shreds. The police think it's a pack of wild dogs, but Alice knows different.

I have been obsessed with watching Good Times, it's not something that I would normally be all about because I am not a huge comedy fan unless it is a horror comedy. But what can I say, since I got the boxset for the Mister it is pretty much all we have been watching.

Good Times is an American sitcom that originally aired from February 8, 1974, until August 1, 1979, on the CBS television network. It was created by Eric Monte and Michael Evans, and developed by Norman Lear, the series' primary executive producer. It was a a spin-off of Maude, which was itself a spin-off of All in the Family. The series was set in Chicago but all episodes were produced in the Los Angeles area. The first two seasons were taped at CBS Television City in Hollywood. and in the fall of 1975, the show moved to Metromedia Square, where Norman Lear's own production company was housed. Good Times is based on Eric Monte's childhood.

The series stars Esther Rolle as Florida Evans and John Amos as her husband James Evans, Sr. Florida and James Evans and their three children live in a rented project apartment, 17C, at 963 N. Gilbert Ave., in a housing project (implicitly the infamous Cabrini–Green projects, shown in the opening and closing credits but never mentioned by name on the show) in a poor, black neighborhood in inner-city Chicago. The children were James, Jr., also known as "J.J." played by Jimmie Walker, Thelma played by Bern Nadette Stanis, and Michael played by Ralph Carter. Their exuberant neighbor, and Florida's best friend, was Willona Woods played by Ja'net Dubois, a recent divorcée who worked at a boutique. Her adopted daughter, Millicent "Penny" Woods played by Janet Jackson, a victim of child abuse, joined the show in the fifth season. There were a lot of other great cast members that came and went. Episodes of Good Times dealt with the characters' attempts to "get by" in a high rise project building in Chicago, despite all the odds stacked against them. When he was not unemployed, James Evans was a man of pride and would often say to his wife or family "I ain't accepting no hand-outs". He usually worked at least two jobs and once in a while Florida would go out and work jobs here or there to help out. The episodes were usually more uplifting and positive than they were depressing, as the Evans family stuck together and persevered. There were lots of changes thru out the series but as the series went on the changes weren't for the better and it lost a lot of ratings. Good times finally ended after the sixth season with somewhat of a happy ending.

Monster High!

I was super stoked to actually find this at Target today! When the dolls first came out I was all about them and didn't really care about the extra stuff until Draculaura's bed came out and I knew I needed it. But after that I didn't really care about the extras so much and than I saw Draculaura's Sweet 1600 car and I just couldn't live without it. I have been looking every place we have gone and today I got lucky, Target had one left. I also found Draculaura's Newspaper Club outfit. It is one of the only extra outfits that I really wanted so I was happy to find it and I redressed my Gloom Beach Draculaura. It's kinda funny that I have been buying all the Draculaura stuff and she is like my 4th favorite. My next Monster High purchase is going to Operetta, she is my favorite! Monster high is taking over our apartment and I am not sure how the Mister feels about that but at least he is supportive.

Catching up on things...

  I have been meaning to do this review for a while now and keep putting it off. But since I was sitting here watching last nights Vampire Diaries I decided I would do it. I normally don't get excited about horror remakes but in the summer I was super stoked about the remake of Fright Night. I am not sure why but it just seemed like it would be great even though the trailers weren't doing it justice. We never got around to seeing it in the theater so when it came out on DVD I was super excited, we rented it and I am in love.
  This is a remake of the 1985 Tom Holland horror film with the same title. The story has some of the same idea as the original but still has plenty of differences. The remake was directed by Craig Gillespie, the screenplay was written by Marti Noxon and produced by Michael De Luca and Alison R. Rosenzweig. It has a really great cast staring Colin Farrell, Anton Yelchin, Toni Collette, David Tennant, Imogen Poots, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. Chris Sarandon, who portrayed Jerry Dandridge in the original film makes a cameo appearance as a motorist killed by the vampire. The budget for this film was $30 million, grossed around $38 million and received really great reviews.
  This is definitely a horror remake worth seeing. This is considered to be a horror comedy but it is more fun than funny. It has it's moments where you laugh but it still has it's really great horror drive-in like elements. This film keeps your attention and keeps you wanting more. Teenager Charley Brewster guesses that his new neighbor Jerry Dandrige is a vampire responsible for a string of recent deaths. When no one he knows believes him, he enlists Peter Vincent, a self proclaimed vampire killer and Las Vegas magician, to help him take down Jerry. I give this film a 10!

Winter Vampire Triple Feature!

I promised myself I wasn't going to use this place to complain about life anymore, actually I was determined that this year would be a better year and I wouldn't have to complain. So far it isn't much better, we live a simple life and it has been one stupid thing after another. I am trying to convince myself that it will get better one of these days but I guess I will just have to deal with the nonsense till than. Now that I am over the self pity, on to the real post. Frostbiten (2006) : After Annika, a medical doctor, gets work at the local hospital, she and her 17-year old daughter Saga move to a small town in northern Sweden. Annika is keen to work with her idol, geneticist Professor Gerhard Beckert. However Beckert's sinister past in the Waffen-SS soon catches up with him when a couple of pill-popping interns mistake an experimental vaccine for party drugs. Mayhem ensues as the town's teenagers succumb one by one to the mysterious virus.

30 Days of Night (2007) : This is the story of an isolated Alaskan town that is plunged into darkness for a month each year when the sun sinks below the horizon. As the last rays of light fade, the town is attacked by a bloodthirsty gang of vampires bent on an uninterrupted orgy of destruction. Only the small town's husband-and-wife Sheriff team stand between the survivors and certain destruction.

Let the Right One In (2008) : Oskar, a bullied 12-year old, dreams of revenge. He falls in love with Eli, a peculiar girl. She can't stand the sun or food and to come into a room she needs to be invited. Eli gives Oskar the strength to hit back but when he realizes that Eli needs to drink other people's blood to live he's faced with a choice. How much can love forgive? Set in the Stockholm suburb of Blackeberg in 1982.

It is hard to believe that it is January 1st of 2012 because it totally doesn't feel like it at all. Last year had some good moments but the bad moments definitely out shined the good so I was glad to see 2011 go. I was going to make a post yesterday because I think every holiday needs horror movies but honestly I just didn't feel like paying more attention to 2011. We had went out Friday night with our friends so last night we stayed in and watched Good Times. I bought the Mister the DVD box set for Christmas, it was his favorite gift and turns out it is one of mine as well. It was nice, quiet and the way we like it just us and our fur babies. But I figured New Years still deserves a horror movie post...

New Years Evil (1980) : New Year's Eve is on it's way and TV's most famous punk-rock lady icon Diane Sullivan is holding a late hour countdown celebration of music and partying. All is going well until Diane recieves a phone call from a odd sounding stranger announcing on live Television that when New Year's strikes in each time zone, a 'Naughty Girl' will be murdered (punished), and the killer leaves a threat saying she will be the one to die last. The studio crew takes precautions and highten security, but on the other side of America, a hospital nurse is found brutally butchered. Who could be behind these murders? A crazed fan, a religious psychotic, or perhaps it's someone much closer to Diane then the police (or audience) could have ever expected.

Terror Train (1980) : A college fraternaty prank goes bad and student ends up in the mental ward. Four years later, it's graduation time, and the members of the fraternity decide to have a costume party aboard a train trip to celebrate thier graduation. Unknowingly to them, a killer has slipped aboard, wacking them off one by one, disguised in the costumes of the victims.

Bloody New Year (1987) : Five shipwrecked English teenagers take refuge in an island hotel that is decorated for New Years. The problem is, it's early summer, and soon enough, even the walls themselves are striking out against them

Life Blood (2009) : New Year's Eve, 1968: While driving on the Pearblossom Highway, a lesbian couple encounters the creator of the universe. Laid to rest for 40 years, the women wake up on New Year's Day as reborn creatures.

End of Days (1999) : On December 28th, 1999, the citizens of New York City are getting ready for the turn of the millennium. However, the Devil decides to crash the party by coming to the city, inhabiting a man's body, and searching for his chosen bride, a 20-year-old woman named Christine York. [If he bears her child between 11:00 PM and midnight on New Year's Eve], the world will end, and the only hope lies within an atheist ex-cop named Jericho Cane, who no longer believes in God because of the murder of his wife and daughter.

Strange Days (1995) : Set in the year 1999 during the last days of the old millenium, the movie tells the story of Lenny Nero, an ex-cop who now deals with data-discs containing recorded memories and emotions. One day he receives a disc which contains the memories of a murderer killing a prostitute. Lenny investigates and is pulled deeper and deeper in a whirl of blackmail, murder and rape. Will he survive and solve the case?

Fear Itself – Episode “New Year’s Day” (2008) : Helen wakes up early New Years morning to discover a major disaster has happened. She is hung over and does not really remember the events of the night before. She soon finds out that most of the population has become zombies. As she tries to find her way to her boyfriend's house, encountering zombies along the way, she gradually pieces the events of the night before.

Well Christmas has come and gone. Besides the fact that I'm still really sick it was a good Christmas. It didn't totally feel like a regular Christmas. We did presents in the morning, had a small dinner in the late afternoon, watched Christmas specials, played board games, ate birthday cake and rested. All said and done it was a good birthday as well. Well I should get back to resting but once I am all better I'll make this a better place. On another note I stopped off at the store today and picked up a few new Monster High dolls. I really wanted the create-a-monster skeleton girl and she was really hard to find so since they had 2 of them I just bought them both, I still have to buy her a torso though. But she has become my favorite. Also I really wanted the Sweet 1600 C. A. Cupid and was super stoked to find her since she is really hard to find as well. I really love the Monster High dolls and can't get enough. We even bought Monster High doll for our niece for her Birthday which was Christmas eve. Gotta share the greatness of them!

I can not believe that Christmas is tomorrow. Sorry for the lack of updates. It turned out that I ended up being super busy and than I got really sick, this is probably the 13th time I have been really sick this year. I am use to getting sick a lot but this year was a little much for me. I will seriously get back to updating regularly, I am determined to make this up coming year a good one. I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday and thanks for reading. Now I need to give little Bacon a bath and get some rest. Here is a picture of my adorable cake that the Mister got for me for my Birthday tomorrow, I'm actually going to but 28 but 27 seems like a better number.

Today is a Sunday and my Mister had to work which is no fun to me. I had these big plans to do some series cleaning and organizing because that's one of the things I like doing and I started but than I some how got sidetracked by the idea of watching more Buffy. Buffy is the one of my favorite TV series and I love watching it over and over. I finished off season 3 and started season 4. I feel out of sorts lately and all I really wanna do is watch Buffy and snuggle with my little Bacon, winter ruins me.

Pee-wee''s Playhouse Christmas Special (1988) : There are a lot of amazing Christmas specials around Christmas and this is for sure one of my favorites. Who doesn't love Pee-wee right? There are a lot of very important people dropping by to wish Pee-wee a very Merry Christmas and bringing him lots and lots of fruitcake enough fruitcake to add on a second wing on the Playhouse. Pee-wee makes a Christmas list for Santa that is 1 1/2 miles long, Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon make Christmas cards, Little Richard learns how to ice skate, and Magic Johnson joins Pee-wee for a sleigh ride in the Magic Screen. Charo, K.D. Lang, the Del Rubio triplets, and Grace Jones perform yuletide carols and Dinah Shore sings the "12 Days of Christmas". You also get appearances from the normal Playhouse characters as well as Joan Rivers, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Oprah Winfrey, Whoopi Goldberg and Cher stops by for a cameo. Santa stops by to tell Pee-wee that he asked for way too many gifts and now the other children won't get anything at all, so Pee-wee decides to do the right thing, give all of his gifts to the children and he becomes Santa's helper. It was originally shown during prime time on December 21 1988 as a 1 hour special. The word of the day was YEAR and it was the only episode in which the secret word is not revealed in the beginning. If your in the mood for a wacky gay ol' Christmas, this is the special for you!

Peppermint Ornaments

Kids can brighten up the Christmas tree by creating their own ornaments and tree-toppers using pipe cleaners, foil, and felt.

Peppermints are the coolest holiday sweets -- especially when transformed into edible hanging ornaments. Lay five or so peppermint candies in a circle to form a wreath; bond sides together with icing. Adorn front with cinnamon candies or mints. Let dry two hours before hanging. Loop twine around ornament; knot.

Greeting Card Ornaments

Holiday cards make perfect ornaments: dazzling and delicate yet impossible to break. In a few steps, kids can turn cards into darling globes or circles that lock together, ready to twirl.

To make, cut two disks identical in size from a card; you can use a circle punch, or trace a round object and cut with scissors. Cut a slit halfway across each disk. In one circle, punch a hole near the edge opposite the cut with a hole punch. Hold the disks so that the slits face each other. Slide the slit of one disk all the way into the other (you should feel the disks "lock"). Thread string through the hole, and tie a knot.

I haven't been doing a great count down to Christmas or Birthmas as I like to call it since it is my Birthday as well as Christmas. But I just haven't gotten into the Christmas spirit like I normally do. I have busted out all of my great christmas cds, watched some of my favorite Christmas films and specials, decorated the apartment and even did some Christmas activities. But still nothing, it just doesn't feel like Christmas this year plus the added stress that we have doesn't help it one bit. I though doing my Christmas count down would get me in the mood but I haven't even posted a quarter of what I was going to. I feel like 2011 was just a big mess that just needs to be over and so I can move on to 2012 which I am hoping will be a much better year for us. I am sorry that Slice into Insanity had to be effected by my personal life and this awful year. But I do plan on revamping and trying my best to make this a better place.
Aside from hating mostly everything yesterday was actually a great day, we always celebrate my birthday with our friends a little early because we can't do it on Christmas. The Mister, some of our really close friends/family and I went out to our favorite Mexican place for dinner and than some Black light bowling. That was probably the highlight of this month so far and the reason why I missed my Saturday Graverite. But enough of my boring life and onto Christmas...

I am sorry for my lack of Holiday cheer, I really am trying my best and this year it isn't so easy...

Christmas Evil (1980) : The story of a boy who loves Christmas. He is scarred as a boy when he learns that Santa is, much to his chagrin, not real. Throughout the rest of his life, the toy-maker tries to make the Christmas spirit a reality. He becomes obsessed with the behavior of children and the quality of the toys he makes. When he is met with hypocrisy and cynicism, the resulting snap causes him to go on a yuletide killing spree to complete this dark comedic horror.

To All a Good Night (1980) : It's Christmas break at the Calvin Finishing School for Girls, and the students are planning a big party while the president of the school is away. A group of boys show up and the fun begins, until mysterious killer starts bumping off couples one by one. The police show up and promise to keep everyone safe, but they prove ineffectual against the crazed psycho. Could the killings have anything to do with the girl who was killed in an initiation stunt at the school a few years earlier?

Don't Open Till Christmas (1984) : A murderer is running loose through the streets of London, hunting down men dressed as Santa and killing them all in different, extremely violent, and quite colorful fashions. Inspector Harris has decided to take on the seemingly impossible task of tracking down the psychopath, but he’s going to have his work cut out for him. Only the suspicious reporter, Giles, seems to offer the Inspector any promising leads.

Fun Christmas Crafts!

DUCKTAPE WREATH

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

1 roll each of Duck® brand duct tape: red, green, chrome, yellow
Scissors or craft knife
Cutting board
Foam balls: three 2", three 1", five 1/2"
Floral wire
Foam wreath

DIRECTIONS:

1. Lay out strips of green Duck® brand duct tape on a cutting board and using a craft knife, cut them into squares. Pick up one square and pinch the middle so it bunches up a little and place on the wreath. Repeat until the wreath is covered.

2. To make the 4 poinsettia yellow centers, cut 5" of floral wire and bend it in half. Lay out 5" of yellow tape on the cutting board and cut in 1/2 lengthwise and then cut it into squares widthwise so that there are about 10 little squares. Take one of the squares and fold over both of the top corners so that it looks like a house. Repeat with the remaining squares. Wrap these around the top of the floral wire. This completes the center of the flowers.

3. To make the poinsettia petals, start with the 3 smaller middle petals. Cut 3 pieces of red tape, each measuring 5" long. Cut 3 pieces of floral wire, each about 2½" long. Lay the 3 strips of red tape out sticky side up and place the floral wire in the middle of the strip, making sure the end of the floral wire touches the bottom of the strip of tape. Fold the top half of the tape strip down over the floral wire so that the wire is sandwiched in between the duct tape. There should be a small amount of the adhesive side showing at the bottom of the petal. Using scissors, cut out a petal shape making sure not to cut off too much of the sticky side off the bottom. Wrap the petals around the yellow middle.

4. To make the 5 larger petals, use the same technique as in step 3, but cut the strips 6½" long and the floral wire 3½" long. Wrap these petals under and around the smaller petals. After making all four flowers, cluster them together on the bottom of the wreath by sticking the ends of the floral wire into the foam wreath.

5. Cover three large (2" diameter) foam balls and three medium (1" diameter) balls in chrome. Cover five small (½" diameter) foam balls in red. Secure the balls around the flowers on the wreath using small pieces of duct tape rolled up so that all sticky sides are exposed. Place these small pieces in between the balls and the wreath to adhere them.

6. Make a ribbon of duct tape taking a 20" long piece of chrome tape and fold it in half lengthwise. Tape one end of the ribbon and adhere it under the cluster of flowers. Weave it around the wreath until the ribbon runs out. Secure the other end with more tape and repeat to complete wrapping the entire wreath.

7. To hang wreath, take a piece of floral wire 5" long and bend it into a “V" shape. Stick the ends about an inch deep into the top of the back of the wreath and fold the excess up so it is flat against the back of the wreath. Use a small piece of tape to cover where the floral wire went into the wreath so that it doesn’t come loose.

Gremlins (1984 ; 106 Brain Eaters ) : This American horror comedy film was written by Chris Columbus, directed by Joe Dante, produced by Steven Spielberg and released by Warner Bros. The budget was $11 million, it grossed around $153 million and was originally released June 8th of 1984 even though it was originally planned and scheduled for a Christmas release. The film stars Zach Galligan, Phoebe Cates, Hoyt Axton, Frances Lee McCain, Corey Feldman, Howie Mandel as the voice of Gizmo, Frank Welker as the voice of Stripe and so on. The scene in the department store where Stripe attacks Billy with a chainsaw was not in the script. It was added by Joe Dante and Zach Galligan as a homage to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. The film was followed by a sequel, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, released in 1990. In contrast to the lighter sequel, the original Gremlins opts for more black comedy. This is a perfect movie for christmas time!

When Billy Peltzer is given a small creature called a Mogwai by his father, he is unaware of the carnage he is about to encounter. There is a huge responsibility in looking after Gizmo as there are certain rules which must be followed. The Mogwai must be kept away from bright light, never made wet and never, ever be fed after midnight. When an accident occurs involving Gizmo and water, the next evolution stage of the Mogwai appears, and it isn't nice at all, minature green monsters tear through the small town of Kingston Falls.

Yes it is a Friday night and I am home in the comfort of my pjs enjoying every second of it. I am not feeling the best plus in the cold months I prefer not leaving unless it is for a good reason. Plus the next few weeks will be super busy so it is nice to be able to just sit here and watch movies especially because it is my favorite thing to do. So another great movie for the Christmas season is of course Santa's Slay followed by the amazing Bad Santa!

Santa's Slay (2005) : In the Christmas Eve of 2005, Santa Claus arrives in Hell Township killing the locals for no good reason. The teenager Nicholas Yuleson finds that his grandfather is actually an angel that defeated the devil's son in a bet, and the evil creature has spent the last one thousand years playing a good Santa Claus, giving toys to the children. Now that the bet is over, Santa Claus wants revenge. Nicholas and his girlfriend Mary Mackenzie try to escape from the killer and find a way to stop him until the end of Christmas.

Bad Santa (2003) : The drunkard Willie and his partner, the midget Marcus, work once a year, near Christmas, dressed like Santa Claus and his helper elf in department stores. However, their intent is to rob the place in the Christmas Eve. When Willie meets a lonely fat boy and the hot bartender Sue, he learns the meaning of Christmas and gets himself into trouble.

All movie nights deserve a snack:

Chocolate-Cherry Bombs

1/3 cup boiling water

1 pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Cherry Flavor Gelatin

1 can (5 oz.) evaporated milk

2 squares BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, coarsely chopped

14 maraschino cherries with stems, drained

ADD boiling water to gelatin mix in medium bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved.

MICROWAVE evaporated milk and chocolate in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until chocolate is melted and mixture is blended, stirring each minute. Add to gelatin; whisk until blended.

POUR into 14 (3 oz.) paper cups sprayed with cooking spray. Refrigerate 15 min.

TOP with cherries, pressing in slightly to stick. Refrigerate 20 min. or until firm. Unmold to serve.

Happy December First!!!

It is December first and I finally have our whole apartment decorated and I am still not 100% in love with the holidays as I normally am but what can you do. I figured the best way to start off the Christmas seasons is a movie night!

Black Christmas (1974) : On the evening that the Pi Kappa Sigma sorority which is headed by their house mother, the booze swilling Mrs. Mac is holding their Christmas party, the house receives the latest in a string of obscene phone calls from who the girls call "the moaner", but who identifies himself as "Billy". Some like Jess Bradford don't like the calls, others like brash Barb Coard are somewhat amused by the calls, others like Phyl Carlson don't think much of them, and straight laced Clare Harrison is offended by them. The calls are just the latest trouble for Jess, who is pregnant and who doesn't want to tell her sensitive but volatile boyfriend, music student Peter Smythe. For this latest call, which is a bit more elaborate than those previous, Barb decides to make a snide comment in return, which provokes a threat by Billy. The next morning, one of the girls goes missing. The desk sergeant at the police station doesn't think much about this as a missing person case, especially as the police are already dealing with another missing person case (a thirteen year old girl named Janice Quaife who is found dead). The police don't act until more information is brought to the attention of Lieutenant Kenneth Fuller by Clare's boyfriend, Chris Hayden. As Lt. Fuller and his men investigate, which includes placing a wire tap on the sorority house phones, more and more incidents happen to those living at the sorority house. In addition, the obscene calls continue and increasingly have a personal connotation to one of the girls, which includes information that could only be known by those involved. But there could be another reason why the caller knows so much about the specific girl...

Christmas Popcorn!

5 qt. freshly popped, unsalted popcorn
1 c. butter
1/2 c. corn syrup
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Red food coloring

Place the popcorn in a large, lightly greased roasting pan and set aside. Melt butter in a medium saucepan and stir in sugar and corn syrup. Bring to a boil and continue boiling over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, stir in soda, vanilla and red food coloring. Pour over popcorn mixture and stir until evenly coated.
Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove from oven, cool for 10 minutes, spread in single layer on folded large brown paper bags to cool completely. This will stay fresh tasting for 2-3 weeks if kept in airtight container.

Peppermint Popcorn!

1 pound white candy coating
24 cups popped popcorn
1/2 to 3/4 cup finely crushed peppermint candy (4 to 6 candy canes)

In a microwave or heavy saucepan, melt candy coating; stir until smooth.
In a large bowl, combine the popcorn and crushed candy.
Pour candy coating over top; toss to coat.
Pour onto a waxed paper-lined baking sheet.
When hardened, break apart.
Store in an airtight container.

Chopping Mall (1986 ; 77 Brain Eaters ) : This horror / sci-fi film was written and directed by Jim Wynorski and produced by Julie Corman (the wife of Roger Corman). Originally released under the title Killbots but did so poorly it was re-released under the title Chopping Mall and did much better. It stars Kelli Maroney, Tony O'Dell, John Terlesky, Russell Todd, Karrie Emerson, Barbara Crampton (who stars in 2 great films "Re-Animator" and "From Beyond), Jim Wynorsky as the Killbots voice, and so on. Paul Bartel and Mary Woronov share a cameo as their characters from Eating Raoul. The budge for the film was around $800,000 and it was filmed mostly at Sherman Oaks Galleria with occasional set shots. There are 2 versions, the TV cut has some extra footage and even a scene that pays homage to Attack of the Crab Monsters which is a Roger Corman film. This is a fun movie to watch around Black Friday!

A group of teenagers that work at the mall all get together for a late night party in one of the stores. When the mall goes on lock down before they can get out, The robot security system activates after a malfunction and goes on a killing spree. One by one the three bots try to rid the mall of the "Intruders". The only weapons the kids can use are the supplies in other stores. Or...if they can make it till morning when the mall opens back up .

Home Sweet Home (1981 ; 85 Brain Eaters) : The slasher film also known as Slasher in the House was written by Thomas Bush, produced by Don Edmonds and directed by Nettie Pena. It is your typical 80's slasher with a holiday theme. It stars Jake Steinfeld, Vinessa Shaw, Peter De Paula, Don Edmonds, Charles Hoyes, David Mielke, Leia Naron, Lisa Rodríguez, Colette Trygg, Sallee Young, J. Kelly, R. Fouts and so on. Eli Roth pays homage to this film in his "Thanksgiving" trailer from the “Grindhouse” film. It's perfect for after your holiday dinner.

The Bradley family and their friends gather at an isolated country home to celebrate Thanksgiving. But unknown to the Bradleys, they have an uninvited guest. A giggling, PCP-addled, homicidal maniac has escaped from mental imprisonment to satisfy his pent-up lust for murder. And he has singled out their home for his psychopathic killing spree. Black Christmas (remake 2006 ; 84 Brain Eater) : This is a great over the top slasher film and a remake of the 1974 Black Christmas. I usually never like a remake as much as the original one but in this case there are so many differences that I love it just as much. There are a few scenes that pay respect to the original but it has a different feel but in a good way. It was written and directed by Glen Morgan. It has a great story line with a good cast backing it up, it stars Katie Cassidy, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Lacey Chabert, Crystal Lowe, Michelle Trachtenberg, Oliver Hudson, Kristen Cloke, Andrea Martin (who was in the original Black Christmas), Jessica Harmon, Leela Savasta, Kathleen Kole, Dean Friss, and Robert Mann. This film was released in theaters Christmas Day in 2006 with lots of backlash from different religious groups. The budget was $9 Million and grossed over $21 million, they made more on DVD sale even with all of the bad reviews the film received and all of the religious backlash. Black Christmas was shot in 29 days in Canada. The score was the composed and conducted by Shirley Walker which was her last and she passes away before the film came out. There are so many different endings and scenes that didn't end up in the film and even the UK release differs from the US version. If your in the mood for some holiday cheese and gore this is definitely the film for you.

In the 70's, a boy Billy is born with yellow skin due to a lever disease and his dysfunctional mother rejects him. Years later he witnesses his mother and her lover killing his beloved father and burying him in the basement of their house. He is locked in the attic alone along with his childhood. When he is a teenager, he is sexually abused by his mother when she can't get pregnant and she ends up with a baby girl named Agnes. A few years later during Christmas, the deranged Billy escapes from his imprisonment, kills his mother and stepfather and blinds one of Agnes's eyes. He is declared insane and his sister is sent to an orphanage. In the present days, Billy escapes from the Clark Sanatorium to spend Christmas with his family. Meanwhile, his former house is the Delta Alpha Kappa sorority house in the campus of the Clement University, the housemother and the sisters are preparing the house for Christmas party on a cold stormy night. When three sisters vanish and the others receive weird phone calls they know something is wrong, but they find that they are trapped in the location because of the storm and Billy has come home.

Some fun facts:

*The scene in which Billy puts on a Santa Claus suit upon leaving the mental institute is a reference to the character Billy Chapman in the movie Silent Night, Deadly Night.

*During one scene the famous "leg lamp" from A Christmas Story can be seen in the background. This is a reference to Bob Clark, the director of the original Black Christmas in 1974 and A Christmas Story in 1983.

Black Sheep (2007 ; 87 Brain Eater) : This is a great horror film, it is definitely over the top and cheesy but not in a bad way. It is a New Zealand made horror comedy written and directed by Jonathan King. The films "splatstick"-style was inspired by New Zealand director Peter Jackson's movies like Dead Alive and Bad Taste. The special effects were done by Weta Workshops, the same crew who did the Lord of the Rings trilogy. When it comes to cheesy horror films the special effects aren't usually that good but this film has really great special effects. Rating wise this film did really well but I do find a lot of negative comments which is just silly. Sometimes people take their horror too seriously. The cast does a really good job and who doesn't love the idea of killer sheep. It's a fun story line/ plot with lots of blood and gore. This is a film that is definitely worth checking it out!

Growing up on the family sheep farm was idyllic for smart, sensitive Harry Olfield, except for some knavish mischief from cocky brother Angus, until their dad has a fatal accident. Fifteen years later, Harry has finished sheep-phobia therapy and his ICT schooling and returns. Angus buys him out, all ready to present the genetically engineered Oldfield sheep he bred with a ruthless team. When environmentalist Grant steals a discarded embryo, which has sharp teeth, he gets bitten by it, and thus the first the be infected with predatory hunger and a mechanism that turns any mammal into a werewolf version. Running for the farm men, Grant's mate, student Experience, gets teamed up with Harry and his boorish but gentle pastoral youth friend Tucker. They must survive both the bloodthirsty sheep and their creators, who didn't realize this yet but dispose of an antidote.

It's 9:15 on a Friday night and I am sitting on the couch in my pjs wearing a bat blanket watching the Mister play Battlefield 3, I truly need a life. But to be honest we have been doing so much lately that I am feeling a little under the weather and find this way more exciting than being out anyways. I still find it hard to believe that it is already November 4th, I have been in such a hurry for this year to end I think I tend to forget what day it is. I'll be 28 on December 25 and a few days after that 2012. I can not wait as long as next year isn't as horrible as this one, but I would like to by pass the month of April if possible. I usually love this time of the year minus the cold. Who doesn't love eating too much on Thanksgiving and the joys of Christmas. But the closer we get to Thanksgiving and Christmas I dread it more and more. I now will stop boring you with the details of my boring life, moving on...
The other day I went to Hallmark, which isn't my favorite store to go too since every time I go the old ladies that work there give me dirty looks but I am a sucker for keepsake ornaments, well certain ones anyways. So I decided to go check out the 2011 ornaments in person, sometimes they look good online but not in person and I feel like if I am going to over spend on a Christmas ornament it needs to at least look like it's worth that much. There were a few that were alright but nothing too great until I saw it. They had a little Gizmo from Gremlins wearing a Santa hat. Gremlins is one of my favorite horror films and one of my favorite holiday films as well so I was very excited to find him. I can not wait to put him on the tree. A few other finds from that day was an ice cream sandwich throw pillow on clearance at target and a Halloween Yankee Candle and Halloween dome on clearance at the Great Indoors. Just a few of my favorites finds from this week!

Edward Scissorhands (1990) : When Pegg Bogs, the local Avon lady, attempts one last stop to sell her products, she wanders off to the mansion on top of the large hill in the suburb. Finding a unique and alone man named Edward with scissors for hands, Peg decides to bring Edward back with her into society. Edward makes a good impression and even falls in love with Peg's high school daughter Kim, but after a robbery with a framed Edward as the culprit, things in his life begin to go downhill and Kim finally understands his feelings.

Sleepy Hallow (1999) : Constable Ichabod Crane of the New York police arrives in the small village of Sleepy Hollow in 1799 to solve a mystery of murders. With all the victims found with their heads missing, everybody in Sleepy Hollow is talking about the ghost of the "headless horseman". He is supposedly out in the woods seeking revenge for his murder many years ago. Crane, believing only in logic, refuses to believe the public's theory about the horseman and begins his investigations, only to find his faith shattered when he himself encounters the headless horseman. A magical tale of sense against myth.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) : When Willy Wonka decides to let five children into his chocolate factory, he decides to release five golden tickets in five separate chocolate bars, causing complete mayhem. The tickets start to be found, with the fifth going to a very special boy, called Charlie Bucket. With his Grandpa, Charlie joins the rest of the children to experience the most amazing factory ever. But not everything goes to plan within the factory.

  Well it is the first day of November and it was a really nice day out. It was sad to see October go but I am ready for this year to hurry up and be over. Saturday we went to a Halloween Party, Sunday and Monday was spent being lazy with the Mister watching horror movies all day both days. Normally I get up early the day after Halloween to go shopping and pick up all the crap I didn't want to spend the full price on. But instead I had other important things to do so we hit up some stores in the afternoon and everything was pretty much gone but no big deal because I didn't need to waste a bunch of money on stuff I didn't need. I did make a few good finds though. We just got a few random things from Target, some baking stuff from Meijer, some craft and baking stuff from Michaels, a few other things from a few random stores and I picked up a 12 pack of the Trash Packs from Toy'R'Us because they are 20% this week. All and all this was a great Halloween season.
   I was going to post all of my gifts from the Mister but I now realize I should have done it each day instead because everything is now all over the place in it's new home. My favorite gift from him is something I am not allow to post because he told me I couldn't. We are rather tight on money right now so each day he drew me a picture to go with my gift and now I have this little book of pictures drawn by the Mister and I love it. It's one of the sweetest things he has ever done. I love that guy!
  One last thing I really wanted say was Thanks a bunch for checking out my blog, reading and following me. It means the world to me and I promise to try not to slack on posting anymore. I hope everyone had a great Halloween/Fall Season, now bring on the Thanksgiving dinner!

Trick r' Treat (2007 ; 82 Brain Eaters) : This is a great horror film written and directed by Michael Dougherty, based on his short film Season's Greetings. Trick r' Treat was set on Halloween with a bunch of stories interweave into one in a very clever way. If you pay attention when one story is going on you will see characters from the other stories which tie all the stories together. It was originally going to be released in October of 2007 but got pushed back for unknown reasons and was released straight to DVD in October of 2009. Honestly this film shouldn't have went straight to DVD but what can you do. It is probably one of the greatest horror films to be made and released in the 2000's. It has an amazing cast made up of Dylan Baker, Rochelle Aytes, Anna Paquin, Brian Cox, Quinn Lord, Lauren Lee Smit, Tahmoh Penikett, Brett Kelly, Britt McKillip, Isabelle Deluce, Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Leslie Bibb, Christine Willes and so on. The film was filmed on location in Vancouver, British Columbia. It has that dark creepy feel with out being too over the top. There is talk about a sequel. If your into graphic novels you should check out the Trick r' Treat graphic novel and also check out the film score!
It is said that Halloween is the night when the dead rise to walk among us and other unspeakable things roam free. The rituals of All Hallows Eve were devised to protect us from their evil mischief, and one small town is about to be taught a terrifying lesson that some traditions are best not forgotten. The Mister gave me a Trash Pack gift this morning. These are the ones I got today, I love the little hot dog and bee. I can not get enough of this cute little pieces of trash!

It is officially Halloween weekend, as excited as I am that it is here I am going to be sad to see it go and to see what comes after. I like the snow for five minutes and I love the holidays most of the time. But I am not looking forward to cold , snow or the holidays this year. This has been one of the worst years in my life and I will be happy to see it go, I just don't feel like having to finish it out. But that's not what's important right now, Halloween is! I am excited about a weekend full of trick or treaters, a Halloween party, candy, Halloween horror movies and cartoons, and everything else Halloweenie that we can fit in. I hope everyone enjoys their Halloween weekend!

A Pumpkinhead triple feature plus one!

Pumpkinhead (1988) : A group of city kids go into the country to relax. While there, one of them is involved in a biking accident that takes the life of the son of the local storekeeper. In a fit of rage, the storekeeper has a witch unleash an unstoppable demon called "Pumpkinhead" to kill the group. When he realizes he's gone too far, the storekeeper attempts to save the kids, but is continually afflicted by visions of peoples' deaths through the eyes of the monster.

Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings (1994) : After a group of teenagers indirectly cause an old witch to be burned, they accidently revive Pumpkinhead. This time Pumpkinhead is inhabited by the soul of a deformed orphan killed 30 years before. He goes on a bloody rampage after his tormentors and the teenagers. Meanwhile, a local sheriff tries to solve the mystery and stop the murders.

Pumpkinhead: Ashes to Ashes (2006) : Townspeople angered over the local mortician stealing and selling the organs of their loved ones and then dumping the corpses in a swamp, rather than cremating them. When the townspeople find out, they have the old witch Haggis summon Pumpkinhead through the mummified body of Ed Harley. Pumpkinhead then proceeds to go on his killing rampage murdering all those responsible for the desecration, while Doc Frasier hurries to murder those who summoned Pumpkinhead, which will effectively kill the demon in the process.

Pumpkinhead: Blood Feud (2007) : In a Virginia forest village, true love between Ricky McCoy and Jodie Hatfield is sabotaged by their families' long-standing bitter feud. Despite sheriff Dallas Pope's grim warning, actually from bitter experience, it will only eat up his sole, Ricky resorts to vengeance on all standing in his way by appealing to pumpkin-head, a magical forester monster, who unleashes ever greater horror.

Todays scarecter is Regan from The Exorcist!

We spend the whole year watching horror movies but once October gets here it's like we try and squeeze all our favorite horror classics in and there are just so many. Plus lets be honest the Mister spends a big portion of his time when he isn't working gaming which I don't mind but when trying to fit in a bunch of movies it can get hard. Plus he works more in the fall so we don't have as much free time. But anyway back to my point. So tonight when we got home from shopping we put on the movie Freddy vs. Jason. I swear I end up picking this movie out all the time, the Mister will be like "we just watched that a little while ago" and I'm like "oh I don't remember", I remember. I think I love this movie so much because it takes two of my favorite horror villains, a pretty good cast, a great story line, some gore, some cheesy lines, some great scenes, some awesomeness and just makes one great film all together. This is just an all around good time for any horror fan and I just don't feel it gets as much love as it should.
